Cats don’t have a purpose? What about putting us in our place? What about teaching us we aren’t the only intelligent species on this planet? What about teaching us how to treat them with respect to earn their respect in return?

Yes, it does. It’s wonderful to hear a pleasant meow. A greeting or Nuri’s happy sound. The sound she makes when she is happy to see me and will let me pick her up and cuddle her as she purrs.
