“Poets generally love cats—because poets have no delusions about their own superiority.” —Marion Garretty
I do write poetry. I have lots of poetry books and I do love cats. I also have no delusions about my supposed superiority. I just am and let the cats tell me what they need and want when they want to.
“Everything a cat is and does physically is to me beautiful, lovely, stimulating, soothing, attractive and an enchantment.” —Paul Gallico, from “An Honourable Cat”
Cats can be enchanting. I don’t know how they are able to defy gravity and then succumb to it. They just do it with grace that I sometimes wish I had of my own. But, at least they show me the way and I can watch them and learn.
